The Battery Rack allows charging Suit Batteries and Rover Power Extensions.

The Battery Rack has 5 shelves of 6 slots each (30 slots in total). A Suit battery occupies 1 slot, a rover accumulator takes a whole shelf. Hence you can charge up to 30 batteries or up to 5 accumulators, 1 accumulator in place of each 6 batteries.

Each Battery charging in the Rack increases its power consumption by 2 kW, and each Extension by 5 kW, until fully charged. To slot an item for recharge, you open the Rack's control panel, move the item from your inventory into the exchange slot, and click the "Charge" button. To take it back, you move it from the Rack's inventory into the exchange slot, and click the "Take" button.

Required technology: Battery Rack.

Battery Rack developed to power backup batteries for crew members at the base. Specially designed charging slots are capable of providing a suitable current flow, which can be extremely useful in situations where a depleted battery or accumulator needs to be replaced with ready-to-use units.
