The Seed Modification Machine is used to extract seeds from fully grown crops. Each crop has it's own unique yield ratio which can be found on their specific pages through the Plant Types page. The machine is unlocked with the Seed Machine research in the Botany Tech Tree.
Basic extraction
To extract seeds of the same quality as the current crop, simply place a stack of the crop on one side of the interface.
Enhanced extraction
Alternatively, you can produce enhanced seeds by placing a stack on both sides of the interface. Enhanced seeds will grow faster and produce more seeds. Seed enhancement requires first unlocking the Genetic Engineering research in the Botany Tech Tree.
This process of extracting enhanced seeds can be repeated on already enhanced seeds in order to improve the % level of enhancement.
NOTE: Enhanced seeds will not result in higher nutrition as of the time of writing this page.
