Hydroponic Shelves are used to continue on with the 2nd stage of growing plants after completing their 1st stage in a Plant Incubator.
Just like a Plant Incubator, Hydroponic Shelves require the plants to be supplied with UV energy from overhead lamps and water from an external source. Both the electrical power for running the lamps and the water supply are provided by external connections to the hosting building.
When not growing plants, the control console may be used to remove power and water supply to conserve for later use.

The Small Hydroponic Shelf can be placed in a Workshop or a Hub. Each Shelf can grow up to 12 plants of one kind at a time.
