Faster Growth II[ | ]
Date: March 14, 2045
Author: Adrienne Clarke
--
The first Mars cultivation projects were a success. I had the opportunity to put all the research together. The most time-consuming part was checking whether the plants actually provided enough energy. The initial specimens were not suitable for consumption, but I was able to isolate new varieties adapted to the needs of Mars.

Olumpus base governor
Main HQ[ | ]
Date: January 23, 2050
Autor: Stephen Ginny
--
The adaptation of Mars' most important building to local conditions took a long time. It was necessary to take into account the exposure of the skeleton to destruction due to the peculiarities of Martian weather including the large temperature amplitude and the omnipresent dust.
We did our best and hope that HQ will stand the test of time proving that it is the Red Planet's most durable building.
Reflecting on work we've done, it is regrettable that previous bases did not have this type of protection and were thus irreparably damaged.
Pump Extension[ | ]
Date: April 30, 2051
Author: Marcus Aniston
--
I hate writing formal reports. Even more so when I have to explain in them such trivial things as the decomposition of water into hydrogen and oxygen molecules. Instead of using my potential for new solutions, I describe the results of synthesis, compare the degrees of cohesion here on Mars with that found on Earth. But if I don't want to write this nonsense down again, I need to check that I definitely have a backup of the research results.
Well Extension[ | ]
Date: 21 January 2043
Author: Xavier Loughty
--
In reference to recent reports sent to Earth on negative climate phenomena, the Headquarters is sending ready blueprints for the expansion of a basic building, providing potable water to survive in case of weather collapses.

ATV[ | ]
Date: 20 April 2054
Author: Gilberto Oberto
--
A four-wheeled vehicle with propulsion and maneuverability sufficient to efficiently cover distances over the sandy and rocky wilderness of Mars. The vehicle's design is based on reports of rover use working on planets other than Earth.
Jetpack[ | ]
Date: January 20, 2050
Author: Carl Ratajowski
--
Constructing a jetpack to work in Earth conditions is not a problem. The extremely different realities of life on Mars have necessitated work on a number of prototypes. New ways of extracting fuel have also been the object of exploration. For the conditions and the limitation of the number of rotations, I believe that a good job has been done. The equipment with plans that we will hand over to ERA is flawless, as long as care is taken to refuel and land gently. It's not a drone that will stop in mid-air and land softly - it requires feel.
Grinder III[ | ]
Date: March 14, 2053
Author: Jeremy Hopkins
--
We do not know for what reasons non-ERA-owned bases were abandoned. Those owned by us broke down or were abandoned on the instructions from Headquarters.
Edit: After analyzing the structure of the vacant bases, a tool was prepared to cope with their dismantling. In summary, the cost of repair far exceeds the profit. ERA procedures assume efficiency first and foremost, which is why it was recommended to recycle any abandoned structures.
Heavy Suit[ | ]
Date: 14 June 2054
Author: Maya String
--
We have received blueprints for the Martian suit version 2.0. Among other things, the new design provides increased resistance to temperature fluctuations and improved shielding against harmful radiation.
Motocross[ | ]
Date: 02 January 2054
Author: Tom Gollob
--
Almost immediately after arriving on Mars, we began work on improving the means of locomotion. At the end of the second turn, we managed to modify the design of the vehicle in such a way that it can now cut through Martian sand dunes without any problems.
Night Vision[ | ]
Date: February 12, 2048
Author: Philip Newt
--
Conclusion #312
Regarding the incident in which the rescue operation was hindered by too narrow beam of light generated by crew flashlights, I am applying for the development of a device to increase visibility at night.
I look forward to a positive consideration of the matter.
Sincerely, Jennifer Craig.
When work on the spectral detector was completed, the issue of poor visibility at night was addressed. The new functionality must be compatible with the helmet model used by ERA.
Rover[ | ]
Date: 27 March 2053
Author: Gaston Pons
--
The rover is assembled! Truth be told, this task almost overwhelmed us. The blueprints attached to the vehicle were unclear and not very intuitive. To ensure that other teams will not have similar problems, our Governor instructed me to rework the instructions. To put it immodestly - I gave it a go, as confirmed by my colleagues.
Controller[ | ]
Date: January 20, 2050
Author: Marilyn Schrödinger
--
I coded an update so that we can easily connect to the rover and control it. Currently, the application needs some improvements and the rover needs minor mechanical repairs. As long as the control range is limited, checking how far it reaches was a bad idea.
Antenna Remote Control[ | ]
Date: 20 March 2054
Author: Gaston Pons
--
Necessity is the mother of invention but not all inventions work in life. I believe that the upgrade I made to the remote control range will become the kind of improvement that makes life easier and ensures that the base crew will use it now and in the future when I am no longer on Mars.
Spectral Detector III[ | ]
Date: June 29, 2054
Author: Violeta Alba
--
It turned out that the spectral detector, in addition to finding water sources, can also be used to scan Martian rocks. This is not only increasing the amount of mined ores, but also reduces the losses incurred at the stage of processing the rocks into raw materials ready for processing.
Blowtorch III[ | ]
Date: 02 February 2054
Author: Dr. Cruz
--
We received an interesting project to increase the precision of the blowtorch. After analyzing all the blueprints, we had to make the necessary adjustments that will further increase efficiency and comfort. We had no choice but to send the project back to the director. Only after his approval does the project have a chance to exist.
Automatic Rock Lifting[ | ]
Date: 23 December 2050
Author: Valeriya Berezina
--
New software for the rover. Assisting system aimed at lifting rocks, which will make it easier to transfer rocks to the trailer.
Jackhammer III[ | ]
Date: 20 December 2045
Author: George Hedgehog
--
Finally it was also time to upgrade the tools. A jackhammer landed on the workbench. We came to the conclusion that mining ore with it could become a little more convenient and less time-consuming.
Electricity[ | ]
Battery Printing[ | ]
Date: 03 August 2052
Author: Harold Spence
--
Since the file received from Earth necessary to print many components has become distorted, and waiting for instructions from ERA delays us, I have developed the necessary 3D models. One more thing - the Governor takes any criticism caused by this willingulness - I'm clean, and the work is progressing on time.
Efficient Photovoltaics[ | ]
Date: 04 July 2047
Author: Orlando Monachino
--
A simple construction plan for a medium-sized solar manel.
Industrial Energy Converters[ | ]
Date: March 23, 2051
By William Mare
--
We have finished tweaking the design of the expanded segments of the transformer. This will prevent further problems with regolith penetrating the joint gaps. The design is now uniform, completely resistant to dust particles according to ERA standards.
Kilopower[ | ]
Date October 10, 2047
Author: Gilberto Oberto
Research unit #01
--
Notice of completion of construction work and commissioning of nuclear reactor.
I am announcing the commissioning of the nuclear reactor at the base, in accordance with the schedule developed by the ERA. You have received updated information related to the new energy source on you personal tablets. It is everyone's responsibility to familiarize themselves with them, especially the health and safety rules.
In the days to come, you will receive information on when the follow-up test will take place. Anyone who receives a score of less than 100% is required to report to a supervisor.
Big Antenna[ | ]
Date: 20 April 2054
Author: Catrin Von Treskow
--
Looking at how useful antennas are on Earth, Mars will only become ours when a forest of antennas appears on it. Soon we will be able to replace the transmissions that go with considerable delay with a real-time connection to Earth, which will be another breakthrough.
Large Replaceable Accumulator I[ | ]
Date: June 07, 2048
Author: Gabriel Korhonen
--
After the first contact with the surface of the Red Planet, we started improving the vehicles. After experiencing the second rotation on Mars, I can say with certainty that it is an unfirgettable experience. I was able to complete my final task and design an improvement to the vehicle.
Medium Antenna[ | ]
Date: 19 January 2054
Author: Ayaz Demir
--
Report #28
A task was completed to best adopt the new antenna system for use by the base's residents.
